Wishlist of the Week...

Top of my wishlist this week is a pair of tan/brown shoes!! These ones are exactly what I'm looking for! They're from Faith and are £75 pounds on their website so that will probably be like a zillion euro over here!
I love the green military shirt (€42) and the red/white stripe vest (€27) from Topshop. Fulfilling the utility and nautical trend in two buys!!
Next I need a pair of cropped boyfriend jeans. Since I've got quite short legs I didn't think they would suit me but I had a pair last summer and I lived in them! I've managed to wear them out so I need a new pair!
I'm going on holidays after my exams in May, so I need to stock up on holiday outfits! I really like this dress from Oasis (€55) and playsuit (€42) from Topshop.

Finally I really love The Garden Collection by H&M. It's got a real festival feel which in turn makes it super summery!! H&M in Cork is not a good store but hopefully they'll get a few of these items in!

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Any cause that supports breast cancer I am a fan of! I decided to do a post on this as I think it's extremely important. Breast cancer awareness is vital and anything that I can do to help, I will.
y
The new ad campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was released yesterday and Kylie Minogue is just one of the faces along with Claudia Schiffer and Sienna Miller (who I think looks a little possessed in her picture! see here). There seems to be more and more campaigns around at the moment or maybe I'm just taking more notice.

One of my favourites is the Ballygowan Pink! I love the pink bottles of water and plus the fact they're only 85c to buy makes it an easy cause to support!

If you want to make a fashion statement in support of breast cancer go into Brown Thomas and get the fabulous Tory Burch leopard-print tote. It's €45! I love this bag and will defo be getting it as soon as possible!

Finally the high street shops usually do their bit and River Island have a lovely top and skirt with proceeds going to charity. Topshop usually do unreal Tshirts but haven't seen them yet.

Do your bit.

Another "Red" Carpet...

The Hits:

Rihanna looked amazing in this Christian Dior dress!! I love Lea Michele's Zac Posen dress too! She is definitely one to watch in the style stakes! She killed it at all the awards ceremonies! I love Zoe Saldana's Isabel Marant jacket! Very chic!!

The Misses:

Eh... Katy Perry knew this was a kid's event ya?? Tyra looks in fab shape lately but a red dress and yellow accessories? Not for me thanks!

I love this image advertising French Sole ballet pumps on Topshop! Placing the pumps in the ballet positions is so simple it's genius! I can't justify the price of them at all though seeing as I live in Pennys flats!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Flower Bomb!

Looking through my wardrobe this morning trying to find something to wear I noticed that it looked like a garden threw up on it!! I have to stop buying florals!! I went shopping yesterday and bought (i) a floral-print skirt (ii) a floral-print shirt and (ii) a floral-print playsuit. Add them to the florals I already have and I think I better stop before bees and wasps get attracted to my wardrobe!

On another note: How unreal is this song!! It's a serious contender for the top spot on my "25 most played" list on iTunes!! And they're playing Oxegen!! Roll on July!!

Love Affair with Awear..

I'm loving Awear at the moment!! I used to buy nearly all my clothes there a couple of years ago and then they had a few dodgy seasons and I stopped but recently I've been going back in there and I've purchased quite a few things!!

I'm planning a huge shopping spree at the weekend, so these are a few things I'm hoping to pick up:

Just read on their blog that they are having a student night this Wednesday with 30% off! Only in the one on Henry St. though!! They never have these things in Cork!!:(

Tick Tock..

I feel this week that I'm in complete limbo land! Lectures in college are coming to an end, I've 6 weeks to my final exams and study seems to be going nowhere! Days are dragging so much that the time I spend not studying seems amplified! I even went shopping this morning for study clothes (baggy hareem pants, comfy jumper and a pair of slippers all bought in Pennys for €12!!) I've people asking me left right and centre "how's the study?" and all I want to do is scream!! I think I will and then have a cup of tea and ask my mum for a hug! Her hugs make everything better. I can't wait for all these exams to be over so I can start to enjoy life again! Have so much planned for the summer!

I hope that study is going well for everyone else!!

Today I'm Wearing...

I absolutely love this feature that Vogue.co.uk are doing. They've picked someone each month to send in pictures of their daily outfits. February's pick was Alexa Chung and this month it's Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Rosie is my new style crush so I'm loving the daily updates on her wardrobe.

Can't wait to see who they'll have for April!

I Wish I Could...

I have to do a presentation today for my final year project. I am dreading it. I'm useless at public speaking so I'm literally shaking at the thought of it! It's one of those situations where I wish I had a twin or that I'll come down with a mysterious illness. I think I just might go and eat a raw chicken! :(

Wish me luck...with the presentation that is!

Trend of the Week

One of my favourite trends at the moment is the military trend. Army green is a great colour and I find you can wear it with anything! When I was about 14 and just realising what shopping was, I saved up all my babysitting money and went into town to buy myself an outfit! The whole thing came from Crisis (shudder!) but I loved it! It was beige combats and an army green style military jacket! I thought I was so cool!! Anyway I hope to get a jacket soon that is remotely like this Balmain one I've pictured above. It is to die for!

Boots -Giuseppe Zanotti
Jacket- Balmain

"Each piece is unique, as was he"

It's a bit ironic isn't it that Alexander McQueen's last collection was inspired by angels and religious icons. The gilded wings coat is my favourite! A complete work of art, it should be in a museum or something!

Isabella Blow

Reading this months Marie Claire magazine (which is free with In Style by the way!) I came across an article about Isabella Blow. I wasn't aware of who she was until Alexander McQueen died but since then I've become fascinated with her!

She was a fashion editor and was responsible for launching the careers of Philip Treacy and McQueen. She always wore a hat that was more like a piece of art than an item of clothing!

She seems to be the inspiration behind a few of Lady Gaga's choice of millinery too!

Isabella Blow is definitely my style icon today!

Got that feeling..

I got the feeling of spring/summer today even though I've been studying all day! Must be something to do with the fact I booked a couple of days in Spain last night! Hurry up May!!

I changed my wallpaper on my desktop to the above picture today!! I took this photo in Dublin last summer when I was up for the weekend!
The flower stand on Grafton St is one of my favourite sights in Dublin! I always want to buy a huge bunch of flowers but sadly they probably wouldn't last on the train back to Cork!

How not to tan...

At first glance I wasn't sure if this actually was a tanning disaster or just bad lighting. Since then I've seen other pics of Lindsay Lohan and this is definitely not bad lighting! For someone who released their own brand of tan, this has to be the worst endorsement ever for it. Just look at her legs!!
Good tan really happens to good people!!:)

First Outfit Post..finally!

Finally got round to posting a picture of one of my outfits!

I showed my best friends the blog tonight! I was nervous about it and I don't know why because they were so supportive as usual!! (Thanks girlies!) Of course, had to take pictures of their outfits too!!

First up is me! I'm mostly dressed head to toe in Pennys! Bought the skirt last night and I love it! It was only €11! Vest top, scarf and flower are H&M!

Next is Ciara: her shorts are H&M and her top, tights and shoes are Pennys!

Last but not least is Noelle (or Nelly as we call her!) Her skirt is Bershka, cardi is American Eagle and her leopard print top is Warehouse! Noelle is defo the most stylish out of all of us. If any of us buy something out of our comfort zone we call it our "Nel" item!!

Love ye girlies
