Wishlist of the Week...

I have such a summer feeling this week due to the weather! Even though I'm stuck inside studying it's nice to have the sun shining in the windows!! I really want the exams to be over now so I can go out and enjoy it!
I've been rethinking my wardrobe due to the sun making an appearance and I've realised that I don't have many clothes suitable for warm weather. So on my wishlist this week are:

Navy spot skirt, River Island €36.
Flowery tunic, Topshop €61
Red crossbody bag, Oasis €47
Shorts, Topshop, €58
Trilby, Oasis €20
Khaki jeggings, Topshop (€??)
Bandeau and longline bra, Topshop (€21, €30)
Tom Ford sunglasses, Net-a-porter €391
YSL tribute sandal, Barneys, €760.
*I'll probably end up buying something similar to these items in Pennys as I can't afford all these!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!!

Miu Miu S/S '10

This was the post I was supposed to do earlier before I got sidetracked by the new Sex and the City trailer. My favourite S/S collection besides Burberry Prorsum was Miu Miu. The swallow-print is gorgeous and extremely classy. I love the cut of their skirts and their platform pumps. Would love to get my hands on a pair!

These are my swallow-print inspired looks from the high street. Illustrated People have a number of items with the swallow print and you can get them on Topshop.com. The black and white tunic is from Pennys and although I think it's a bit childish it's the best high street copy I've seen yet. (The ankle socks have nothing to do with Miu Miu, I just think they'd be so cute to wear with the pumps!)

Excited? Abso-f*cking-lutely!

I cannot wait until this comes out!! Unfortunately I'll be on holidays when it comes into cinemas so I won't be first in line like I was the last time! ( I say unfortunately like going on holidays is a bad thing. Emma, get a grip!!) But I'm really excited about the new film. I was sceptical at the start as I thought they were going to ruin it but as it gets nearer I don't care in the slightest if they ruin it I just want my fix haha!

I know it's so cliché..ooh I'm a girl, I love Sex and the City but I really do. The clothes, the dialogue, the plots, even Carrie's whinging! I love it all!! I could say I'm obsessed with it. When my friend and I went to NY last September we did our own tour! Carrie's stoop, Magnolia bakery, New York Public Library and we ate in the restaurant where Big and Carrie had their rehearsal dinner! I'm actually just realising how sad I am! And I know this sounds stupid but my 13 year old self learned A LOT while watching it!

Finally, how hot is Aidan looking??

Bad Day/Good Day.

I'm on a complete rollercoaster at the moment! Yesterday was the worst and best day ever. Since I'm finishing college in like 6 weeks I'm on the search for a job. Yesterday morning I got a rejection letter from the company I really want to work for. I was disgusted and really upset over it. Then at around 5.55 yesterday I got a phonecall from the company who I had summer placement with the last two summers offering me a job with them. I didn't even know they had a position available so I hadn't applied for anything. I'm still in shock that I got a job without any application or interview. I was not expecting it at all so I'm on cloud 9. I can't believe how lucky I've been and can't help but put it down to fate.

*Other good day events:
  • Topshop package arrived that I've been waiting for! Lots of lovely summery things.
  • Had a great study day! Finally feel I'm getting somewhere with it.
  • Watched Now and Then, my favourite childhood movie. Wow Demi Moore looks so different. Can definitely see the difference pre/post plastic surgery!
*Bad day events:
  • Man. Utd got knocked out of the Champions League!:( I've grown up in a fanatical Manchester Utd house so I can't help being sucked in! I feel really bad for my Dad and my brother because they got tickets to the final in Madrid after years of applying for them! Ah well..next year!
Long post, sorry!

Today I'm Wearing...Continued!

Just an update on Vogue's "Today I'm wearing" feature. For April, Olivia Palermo is sending in photo's of her daily outfits! I'm obsessed with The Hills and The City and even though I think Olivia is a complete bitch you can't argue with her sense of style! She has impeccable taste and from what she has posted already it seems she mixes designer and high street! Love it!!

Sorry for the crap video, Youtube is annoying me loads lately and I can't find a proper one!!

Keke Lindgard

I came across these photos of Keke Lindgard in Spanish Vogue on fashiongonerogue and I just think they are amazing!! The first and second pictures are out of this world. The scenery in the first literally took my breath away and I love the calmness of the second. I can imagine when the photo was taken that everything was so still in order not to disturb the owl. I want to blow that pic up and hang it on my wall.

On another note, Keke Lindgard is only 15 (or is it 16?)!! That's crazy! She has lips and legs to kill and she seems to be a new face on the runway. For a model to land all the high end houses such as Dior, Lanvin, Elie Saab, Chloé, Gucci and Hermes in her second season it's phenomenal. I look forward to seeing where her career goes!

Wishlist of the Week...

Top of my wishlist this week is a pair of tan/brown shoes!! These ones are exactly what I'm looking for! They're from Faith and are £75 pounds on their website so that will probably be like a zillion euro over here!
I love the green military shirt (€42) and the red/white stripe vest (€27) from Topshop. Fulfilling the utility and nautical trend in two buys!!
Next I need a pair of cropped boyfriend jeans. Since I've got quite short legs I didn't think they would suit me but I had a pair last summer and I lived in them! I've managed to wear them out so I need a new pair!
I'm going on holidays after my exams in May, so I need to stock up on holiday outfits! I really like this dress from Oasis (€55) and playsuit (€42) from Topshop.

Finally I really love The Garden Collection by H&M. It's got a real festival feel which in turn makes it super summery!! H&M in Cork is not a good store but hopefully they'll get a few of these items in!

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Any cause that supports breast cancer I am a fan of! I decided to do a post on this as I think it's extremely important. Breast cancer awareness is vital and anything that I can do to help, I will.
y
The new ad campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was released yesterday and Kylie Minogue is just one of the faces along with Claudia Schiffer and Sienna Miller (who I think looks a little possessed in her picture! see here). There seems to be more and more campaigns around at the moment or maybe I'm just taking more notice.

One of my favourites is the Ballygowan Pink! I love the pink bottles of water and plus the fact they're only 85c to buy makes it an easy cause to support!

If you want to make a fashion statement in support of breast cancer go into Brown Thomas and get the fabulous Tory Burch leopard-print tote. It's €45! I love this bag and will defo be getting it as soon as possible!

Finally the high street shops usually do their bit and River Island have a lovely top and skirt with proceeds going to charity. Topshop usually do unreal Tshirts but haven't seen them yet.

Do your bit.
